About the role
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks & procedures for which they have been trained.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Performs technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks & procedures for which they have been trained.
- Demonstrates the ability & willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of his/her own work and remains flexible in response to changes.
- Works in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and acts quickly in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification, or Washington Medical Assistant Certification, or Washington Nursing Assistant Certification, or Washington Nursing Assistant Registered, or National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Computer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Recent experience in a hospital or pre-hospital environment.
- 1 year of Recent Emergency Department experience.
- EMT experience.
