Emergency Technician 0.9 FTE Night

0.9 FTE full-time position working weekdays and weekends on a night shift.

About the role

Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician or nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in collaboration with the emergency team.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during procedures by supplying sutures, instruments, and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.

Requirements

• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire).
• Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) certification (annually).
• One year of relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred. Experience acquired during certification or licensure, military medical experience, or as a senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous EMT or Paramedic certification.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate.

Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay

Pay range: $20.00 – $28.20 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors.
