Emergency Services Concierge PRN

About the Role

Join Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center as an Emergency Services Concierge PRN. This customer service-focused role assists all outreach patients presenting to the hospital, either as transfers to the Emergency Departments or as direct admits for medical care. HCA Healthcare has committed up to $300 million in programs to support team members over three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight and ownership of the lobby and waiting areas, including greeting patients, assisting with check-in, and ensuring adequate supply of assistive mobility devices (e.g., wheelchairs).
• Ensure cleanliness of the lobby and waiting areas.
• Address questions, complaints, or concerns from visitors or patients in the lobby and waiting room.
• Assist Public Safety with visitor badging duties at hospital entrances and follow all visitation guidelines.
• Complete patient rounds in the lobby using AIDET and perform rounds on admitted patients held in the ER. Escalate any patient or visitor concerns to the unit charge nurse.
• Collaborate with security to maintain a safe and welcoming environment in main lobbies and ER waiting rooms. Immediately escalate potential safety concerns to security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous experience in customer service or guest relations.
• Bilingual applicants will receive preference.
• Strong ability to work well with others and establish effective working relationships.
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with diverse groups of individuals.
• Effective and efficient communication skills in written and verbal formats.
• Comprehensive understanding of company and department policies, procedures, and operations.
