Emergency Services Clerk/Tech - Per Diem

About the role

River Hospital is seeking a Per Diem ER Clerk/Technician for our Emergency Department. The purpose of this role is to attend to the daily needs of patients as delegated by the ER Charge Nurse and to handle clerical duties under the supervision of the charge nurse.

Responsibilities

• Attend to daily needs of patients as delegated by the ER Charge Nurse.
• Handle clerical duties under the supervision of the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Experience as EMT, ER Clerk, or similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a related position is preferred.
• PC and keyboard skills required.
• Accurate clerical skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary.
• Employee must know the requirements for certification, limited permit, and licensure for their profession and notify the employer of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue.
• Employee must comply with all requirements outlined by the New York State Office of Professions for the particular profession.
