Emergency Room RN - Per Diem
Part-time, rotating shift position in the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Mary's Hospital.
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.
Responsibilities
- Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.
- Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.
- Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Must be able to function independently in the Emergency Room.
Preferred Qualifications
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire).
This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training as an Emergency Room nurse.
Pay
Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $36.15 – $59.95/hour.
Schedule
- Per diem, rotating shifts.
- Rotating weekends and holidays.
- Strong preference for candidates who support off shifts and weekends.
