Job Summary
The Clinical Manager responsibilities include providing leadership for and management of the clinical service area. The service area will be centered on the care of the patients on a continuum related to a patient care event.
Responsibilities
- Conducting themselves as a professional role model
- Being a clinical resource for and acting as liaison with the medical staff
- Keeping department operation within budgetary boundaries
- Complying with all regulatory requirements
- Handling human resource issues
- Integrating department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions
- Cooking and evaluating policies and procedures
- Hiring and evaluating new staff
- Providing orientation, in-service training, continuing education, and annual evaluations for all personnel in their department(s)
- Overseeing disciplinary processes and termination of employees in their department(s)
- Ensuring staff receives ongoing information/updates on the department and hospital levels
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current MO RN license or Multistate RN License from a participating compact state required. BCLS required. ACLS within 90 days of hire date. TNCC and ENPC within 1 year of hire date.
