Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on managing illness or injury, and ensures communication across the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication, and management.
- Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
- Maintain safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Licenses: Active RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; preferred Bachelor's Degree and less than 2 years of experience.
- Skills: Critical nursing skills, effective communication, patient education, teamwork.
