Emergency Room - Clinical Nurse (Evenings)

About the role

This position is based in the Emergency Department of a modern hospital offering 24-hour emergency services, including pediatric care, surgical and diagnostic services, and specialized units like a cardiac catheterization lab and wound center. The role involves providing direct patient care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions within established standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, respecting patient values and barriers to involvement.
• Maintain a safety-sensitive approach, demonstrating alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• Licenses: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
