Responsibilities
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts
- Provide advanced life support care from initial contact to handoff at medical facilities
- Maintain competency through ongoing training and certifications
- Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, and procedures
- Ensure equipment and supply maintenance and safety compliance
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public
- Participate in pre-mission briefings, mission debriefings, and assist with pre-flight checklists
- Support safety protocols and conduct aircraft safety briefings
- Fill open shifts as needed within the area
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings
- Current EMT-P license in the assigned area
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma
- FP-C certification within 24 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Instructor certifications
- NREMT-P certification in some areas
