Emergency Medicine Provider - Full-time, Rotating Schedule

About the role

An experienced advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in Emergency Medicine, providing independent care for lower acuity patients and oversight for complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose, and manage health problems
• Prescribe medications and therapies, interpret tests, and evaluate patient needs
• Provide direct clinical care, patient education, and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals; serve as a consultant
• Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
• Mentor students, develop educational programs, and serve as a role model and preceptor

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois RN or PA license
• National certification and privileges through the Medical Staff Office
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of one year of APP experience in Emergency Medicine
• Excellent clinical, communication, and professional presentation skills
• Commitment to patient advocacy, ongoing education, and quality improvement
