Emergency Medicine Physician

About the Role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a part-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Des Moines, IA. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound management in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Qualifications

• Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Training provided during onboarding plus 6-month wound care fellowship

Practice Details

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4-5 days per week; full-time schedule Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40-60 mile radius of practice location
• No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
