About the role

Emergency Medicine Physician working in a partnership‑style practice located just outside Houston, Texas. The role combines emergency department and urgent‑care responsibilities within the same facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and urgent‑care services, including triage of urgent‑care patients by APRNs.
• Manage 40‑50 patients per 24‑hour shift, covering observations and critical care.
• Handle moderate to moderate‑high acuity cases; run very few codes.
• Collaborate with a team of 4‑5 physicians per site.
• Participate in a quarterly bonus pool and hourly incentives.

Requirements

• Excellent bedside manner.
• Ability to work at least 12 required shifts per month (12‑hour shifts) plus six 24‑hour shifts.
• Comfort with moderate to moderate‑high acuity environments.
• Willingness to work in a suburban setting with access to a tertiary trauma center for heavy trauma cases.
