About the role
Methodist Healthcare System is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team at Methodist ER – Legacy Trails in San Antonio, Texas.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO)
- Emergency Medicine residency-trained
- Strong communication skills
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- 24 hours of physician coverage
- Physician shift times: 6a–6p, 6p–6a
- 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
- Full-service radiology, laboratory, and telemetry available
- Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical
- 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
- Stabilize critical patients and arrange transport, when needed, to a Methodist hospital in San Antonio
