Emergency Medicine Physician
About the Role
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is seeking full-time board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join the dynamic team in the Emergency Department (ED) and surrounding Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs).
The ED has a volume of 84,000 visits (adult and pediatric) with physicians seeing approximately 2.1 patients per hour. The hospital features a 36-bed ED, a 10-chair Fast Track, and 12 pediatric ED beds with 24-hour coverage. Physician coverage includes 55 hours for adults and 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage. The department also supports an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program and fellowship programs in Ultrasound, Administration, and Operations.
Physicians will cover and rotate through the main ED and four associated FSEDs: Town and Country FSED, Doral FSED, Cutler Bay FSED, and South Dade FSED.
EMR systems in use include Meditech, Pdoc, and Dragon dictation.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in the ED and FSEDs.
- Rotate through the main ED and associated FSEDs as required.
- Participate in the training and supervision of Emergency Medicine residents and fellows.
Requirements
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (certification required within 5 years).
- Active ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 447-bed, full-service acute care facility with a Level I Trauma Center designation and the area’s only Adult and Pediatric Burn Center.
