Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services is seeking multiple Emergency Medicine Physicians (MD/DO) to support the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, Arizona. This is a long-term locum contract opportunity where your clinical expertise will directly impact patient care in a high-need setting.
Contract Details / Schedule
- Long-term contract up to 1 year with extension options
- 13-hour shifts
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- Day, Night and Mid shifts available
Emergency Room Experience
Emergency Room experience as an MD Required
Critical Access Hospital IHS Facility
Critical Access hospital IHS facility
Previous Locum Tenens Experience Preferred
Previous Locum Tenens experience preferred
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine Needed
Board certification in Emergency Medicine needed
Adult and Pediatric Patients
Work on any US license
What You’ll Do
- Provide emergency medical care to patients with acute illness or injury
- Perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and make timely diagnoses
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients using emergency procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Determine appropriate patient disposition (admit, discharge, transfer)
- Follow all facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily in the United States
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferred)
- Valid medical license from any U.S. state accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients
- Current DEA registration
- Active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- Prior locum tenens and/or IHS experience preferred
