Emergency Medicine Physician
About the role
This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support to meet an immediate need. The emergency department handles an annual volume of approximately 45,000 patients, with NP/PA coverage provided as a single support team available 24/7. Backup specialties are available on-site, and the electronic medical record system in use is Epic. Located in Evansville, Indiana – the “River City” situated closer to Kentucky and Missouri than to Indianapolis – the city is Indiana’s third‑largest, with a population exceeding 115,000. Evansville is home to two major universities, numerous parks, zoos, and nature preserves, and offers gaming and nightlife via the Casino Aztar riverboat casino.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Stroke Certified
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
