Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role

This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support to fill a current need. The position is located in Seattle, Washington, in an Emergency Department practice setting, surrounded by snow‑covered peaks and sparkling bays, offering a vibrant urban environment with cafés, waterfront parks, kayaking on Lake Union, and Pike Place Market.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients.
• Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions.
• Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
• Current Washington medical licensure.
• Credentialing timeframe: minimum 90 days.

Pay

$266.75 – $288.75 per hour (locum tenens rate).

Schedule

• 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• 2 p.m. – 11 p.m.
