About the role
Emergency Medicine Physician locum tenens position providing coverage across four emergency departments with an annual volume of approximately 110,000 visits. The facility offers Level I trauma backup at the main ED, while most shifts are at non‑trauma free‑standing EDs. NP/PA support totals about 70 APC hours across the four sites. The electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medicine care during night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Manage patients across four EDs, utilizing available NP/PA coverage and trauma backup resources.
- Document patient encounters using Meditech EMR.
Requirements
- Board certification in ABEM or AOBEM; if not board certified, BCEM certification is required.
