About the role
This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support to fill a current need in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, a premier vacation destination offering outdoor recreation and cultural attractions.
Responsibilities
- Manage 17‑23 patients per shift with an approximate 20% admission rate.
- Work over 20 shifts per month, mostly single‑physician coverage with some shift overlap.
- No call required.
- Collaborate with two Advanced Practice Clinicians (NP/PA) who provide coverage.
- Potentially provide coverage for two critical access hospitals within 30 minutes of Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital.
- Document patient encounters using Epic EMR.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin Medical License.
- Current DEA registration.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system.
