About the role

Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) providing locum tenens support to cover emergency department needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Coordinate with backup providers as needed.
• Provide emergency medical assessment and treatment.
• Adhere to certification and licensing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

Schedule

• Cover shifts from 7p-7a, 7a-7p, 1p-7p, or 10a-10p.
• 4-6 shifts per month.
• Manage an estimated volume of 2 patients per hour.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Physician Assistant.
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License.
• DEA registration.

Skills

• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Stroke Certified.
