About the role
Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates, PLLC (MEMA) is recruiting Physician Assistants with Emergency Medicine experience to join its practice. Established in 1976, MEMA is an independently owned and managed emergency medicine group that staffs the emergency departments of five Novant Health hospitals in the Charlotte, Matthews, Huntersville, Mint Hill, and Salisbury, NC area, serving a combined patient volume of approximately 220,000 annually. The practice currently includes 80 physicians and 50 physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Openings are available for a new hospital scheduled to open in June 2023 and for additional shifts at existing locations. The service area offers all four seasons, abundant recreational activities, easy access to east‑coast beaches (3‑3.5 hours) and the Blue Ridge Mountains (2‑2.5 hours), and is served by Charlotte Douglas International Airport, one of the nation’s busiest and most navigable hubs.
Requirements
- Emergency Medicine experience preferred (Physician Assistant)
- Urgent Care experience will be considered
- New graduate physician assistants may apply through the Post‑Graduate Certificate Program
