About the role
Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates, PLLC (MEMA) is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants to join their team. MEMA is a fast-growing, independently owned and managed emergency medicine practice that staffs the emergency departments of five hospitals for Novant Health in the Charlotte region of North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Current PA license in North Carolina
- At least 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing score on the National Certifying Exam
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Completion of a certified Physician Assistant program
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
