About the role
We lead with precision, empathy, and a deep commitment to improving outcomes when time matters most. Our emergency medicine programs are built on a foundation of operational excellence, physician leadership, and a relentless focus on patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Lead a close-knit team of 24 physicians and 18 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital.
- For those who like to teach, we work with PA-C students from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
- Prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, Goals of Care hospice, and case management.
- Practice in a high-acuity environment with a 30% admission/transfer rate at a designated STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center, featuring ED MRI capabilities for stroke and spinal cord emergencies.
Qualifications
- Board-certified in emergency medicine.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

- Experience leading emergency medicine teams.
- Ability to prioritize patient-centered care.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and teaching abilities.

- 60 hours of clinical work to allow for completion of administrative duties.
