Emergency Medicine - Locum Tenens

About the Role

Seeking a physician to provide locum coverage in the Emergency Department with an average of 15 patients per shift. The role involves overnight shifts (11p–9a) with solo coverage from 2am–7am and dual physician coverage from 7am–2am. The department manages approximately 54,000 patients annually and utilizes EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.

Additional support includes assistance with travel arrangements, credentialing, and malpractice coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard ED procedures independently during overnight shifts.
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 15 patients per shift.
• Work with 24-hour Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage.

Requirements

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
• Active Connecticut state license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
