Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

Purpose

The Inpatient Clinical Specialist Pharmacist provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the Medical University Hospitals and clinics. Pharmacists provide supervision of pharmacy technicians per South Carolina Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy
• Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (or eligible for SC Pharmacist License)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required within three months of hire date and maintained throughout employment
