About the Role
Join a growing emergency medicine program serving the expanding Fort Myers market through a community hospital and multiple freestanding emergency departments. This opportunity offers a diverse clinical experience, strong physician leadership, and the ability to practice in one of Florida's fastest-growing regions. Physicians will be credentialed across multiple locations, providing a mix of community hospital and freestanding emergency medicine experience while enjoying the benefits of living and working in Southwest Florida.
Responsibilities
- Practice in diverse clinical settings across hospital and freestanding emergency departments
- Work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling, typically released 90 days in advance
- Collaborate within a physician-focused culture
- Opportunity to oversee operations as a Medical Director for freestanding emergency departments (optional)

Pay
- Hospital Shifts: Approximately $300/hour
- Freestanding ED Day Shifts: Approximately $240/hour
- Freestanding ED Night Shifts: Approximately $260/hour
- $50,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Medical Director Stipend: $8,000 monthly (approximately $96,000 annually)
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Full-time: 12 shifts per month (144 clinical hours)
- Schedules released approximately 90 days in advance
- 2-3 days off when transitioning between day and night schedules
