About the role

The Emergency Medicine APP position at CHI Lisbon Health serves as a critical lifeline in Lisbon, ND, providing broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine care. The role involves serving patients of all ages, managing complex and co-morbid conditions, and collaborating with various healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients of all ages - children to geriatrics
• Emergency Room consults, triage, and medical care
• Round, admit, and manage health needs of patients with significant disease conditions
• Manage all inpatient care and attend to patients admitted to the hospital
• Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare personnel
• Employ quality and process improvement practices to enhance safety and patient outcomes

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified
• Qualified to obtain an unrestricted state license and DEA
• Shift-based condensed work schedule with ten 24-hour shifts per month
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs

Qualifications

• Pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check/drug screen
• Qualified to obtain an unrestricted state license and DEA
• Experience in Emergency Room or Inpatient settings of at least one year
• Flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs
