Job Summary
Summit Medical Center is seeking a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant for their Emergency Department in Hermitage, TN, which is conveniently located near downtown Nashville!
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience practicing in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, excellent communication and clinical skills, and be eligible for hospital employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform physical exams, order tests, and interpret results
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Participate in ongoing professional development through CME programs
Requirements
- Current license to practice in Tennessee
- Active certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
- Passing scores on relevant national certification exams (e.g., NP-C, PA-C)
