Job Summary

Summit Medical Center is seeking a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant for their Emergency Department in Hermitage, TN, which is conveniently located near downtown Nashville!

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience practicing in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, excellent communication and clinical skills, and be eligible for hospital employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform physical exams, order tests, and interpret results
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
• Participate in ongoing professional development through CME programs

Requirements

• Current license to practice in Tennessee
• Active certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
• Passing scores on relevant national certification exams (e.g., NP-C, PA-C)
