About the Role
Advanced Practice Practitioner (PA or ACNP/EMNP) in Emergency Medicine within an inpatient hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergent conditions.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop/implement treatment plans across all acuity levels.
- Carry out procedures within scope, such as laceration repair, incision & drainage, and splinting.
- Interpret diagnostic results rapidly and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide patient and family education, including discharge instructions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA or Nurse Practitioner program, with NPs holding Acute Care or Emergency Medicine certifications.
- Ability to manage high-acuity, undifferentiated clinical environments.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced settings.
- Ability to obtain licensure in Missouri.
Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts per week, with no night shifts or call.
- Weekend rotation every 5th weekend.
- Holiday rotation with one holiday per year.
