About the role
The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) provides high-quality, patient-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the APP assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages patients within their scope of practice and area of specialty. The APP is responsible for delivering evidence-based care, promoting positive patient outcomes, maintaining professional and regulatory standards, and supporting the clinical, educational, and operational goals of the department and organization.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine
- Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity
- Establish preventive health practices for patients
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- CNOR Certification required
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department
- Emergency medicine/Urgent care experience preferred; eligible new graduates will be considered
Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant
- Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required
- Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required
- Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine
- BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department
- Emergency Medicine/Urgent care experience preferred; eligible new graduates will be considered
