About the role
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at our Sterling, VA site. This is a full-time position with day shifts. Premium pay plus overtime is offered, and per diem opportunities are available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
- Administer basic first aid and medical support to patients in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.
- Assess the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
- Effectively communicate with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action.
- Communicate with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents or hazards.
- Demonstrate a strong orientation toward teamwork and understand the importance of coordinated efforts.
- Remain cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards.
- Ensure quality clinical standards are practiced at all times.
- Document all findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
- Conduct yourself in a helpful, dignified, and professional manner regardless of stress level or personal circumstances.
- Assist Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the safest and most secure work environment possible.
Requirements
- EMT State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity.
- Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience, or emergency 911 experience preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; additional certifications are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.
