Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)

CORE is a nationally recognized leader in Occupational Medicine, providing a full spectrum of services to Fortune 500 companies and other industry leaders. The company is seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT‑B) to join its Gainesville, VA site. Both full‑time and PRN positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administer basic first aid and medical support to patients in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.
• Assess the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action.
• Communicate with client and site personnel regarding worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation and understand the importance of coordinated efforts.
• Remain cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards.
• Ensure quality clinical standards are practiced at all times.
• Document all findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Conduct oneself in a helpful, dignified, and professional manner regardless of stress level or personal circumstances.
• Assist Site Safety Managers and personnel in maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Qualifications

• EMT State Certification and/or National Registry; proof of reciprocity required.
• Previous EMT experience, first‑response experience, or emergency 911 experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; additional certifications are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.
