About the Program
Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) are essential first responders, providing on-site medical care in critical situations. An EMT is responsible for stabilizing patients on the way to a hospital — a job that requires extensive training.
Lifework Education offers a 4-week EMT Boot Camp and a slower-paced 10-week EMT course, which equip students with essential knowledge and skills as healthcare providers. The curriculum includes anatomy and physiology, CPR, splinting, bandaging, and patient assessment training.
Prerequisites
- 18 years of age or older
- Photo ID
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Proof of 9th-grade reading competency
- BLS CPR Certification (due by the 2nd week of class; ask Student Services to pick a CPR class date when you register)
