Emergency Medical Technician - EMT

About the role

Ambulnz by DocGo is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our dynamic team in Freeport, New York. This role operates under a flexible schedule with shifts ranging from 9 to 10 hours, with options for full-time and part-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to ensure top-tier patient care.
• Be flexible with your work schedule, which may vary due to the 24-hour operation of emergency services.
• Stay updated with current standards of care, including equipment functions and all certifications, licenses, and registrations.
• Operate and drive the ambulance safely, following all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH).
• Maintain the cleanliness of the ambulance and prepare for patient transport.
• Collect patient billing information and obtain necessary signatures.
• Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
• Respond promptly to dispatch center assignments.
• Transport patients according to established policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State EMT certification.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification with American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 125 lbs.
• Successfully complete a Physical Aptitude Test.

Pilot Program

For those interested in the Pilot Program, the pay rate is $26 per hour, requiring full-time employment and availability for Pilot Program shifts. Additional certifications and meeting specific requirements are also necessary to qualify and remain in the program.
