Responsibilities

  • Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services.
  • Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
  • Communicate effectively with other allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • State EMT License.
  • Ambulance Driver's License.
  • Medical Examiners Card.
  • State Driver’s License.
  • CPR/BLS Card.
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test.
  • 12 months of ambulance work experience.

Qualifications

Must have a valid California EMT license and ambulance driver’s license. Must also have a valid California Medical Examiners card and state driver’s license. CPR/BLS certification is required. Applicants must pass a physical agility test and have 12 months of ambulance work experience.

Skills

Effective communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations, teamwork, and first aid knowledge are essential.
