Emergency Medical Services Program - Part Time Faculty Pool
About the role
The part-time faculty member is responsible for providing professional, quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes facilitating student learning by conducting and teaching technical education courses at the undergraduate level, using active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies designed to assist the learner in meeting the objectives of the course; assessing student learning; and providing academic assistance to students as needed.

Requirements
The minimum qualifications required for this position are:
- A current and valid certificate to teach issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS or equivalent state-level agency.
- In-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Belief in, and concern for, community service.
- High ethical and moral character.
- Proficiency with email.
- Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems.
- Commitment to diversity.
- Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors.
- Personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of Central Ohio Technical College.
