About the Role
The Emergency Medical Services Courtesy Worker provides routine non-emergency courtesy services as needed (wheelchair assistance, minor first-aid, hydration, etc.). Carries equipment and supplies for medical teams. Runs errands for medical teams as required.
Schedule
Varies; must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with EMS staff and health care professionals.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Ability to cope with stressful conditions.
- Ability to demonstrate tact, versatility, and adaptability.
- High degree of self-motivation and directional initiative.
- Working knowledge of data entry and Microsoft Office.
- Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
