Essential Functions
- Operate CAD equipment
- Knowledge of Insurance and Requirements
- Ability to quote correct prices for private pay transports
- Perform dispatch, radio communications
- Determine the nature and location of each call and make calculated decisions based on these calls
- Maintain the status of all Legacy vehicles and personnel at all times
- Receive and record accurate information
- Receive incoming phone calls
- Perform other related duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Administration
- Maintain HIPPA compliance in all aspects of MedComm
- Maintain the dispatch area neat and tidy
- Communicate professionally in all aspects of their duties including appearance and dialogue
- Communicate well with all Medics and other Dispatchers
- Know the guidelines, protocols, policies, etc. that Legacy has put in to place for all Legacy employees
Qualifications
- IAED (Or equivalent) Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- AHA BLS Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology (preferred)
- Computer Literate (required)
- Radio Literate (preferred)
- Ability to interpret computer-generated maps (required)
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as street maps, instructions, or procedure manuals (required)
- Ability to speak effectively (required)
- Able to exhibit critical thinking skills (required)
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are flexible and may vary based on departmental needs.
