Emergency Management Coordinator

About the role

This position is responsible for developing, organizing, and managing the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and Safety programs for the City of Saratoga Springs. This position will represent the city in Emergency Management matters and coordinate Emergency Management activities with federal, state, county and local agencies, other City departments, local businesses, private organizations and volunteer groups. Works under the direction of the Assistant City Manager. All employees are also under the general supervision of the City Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and manage the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and Safety programs for the City of Saratoga Springs
• Represent the city in Emergency Management matters
• Coordinate Emergency Management activities with federal, state, county and local agencies, other City departments, local businesses, private organizations and volunteer groups
• Works under the direction of the Assistant City Manager
• All employees are also under the general supervision of the City Manager
