About the role
The role of Emergency Management Coordinator involves leading the development and implementation of emergency response plans, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring community safety during emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans
- Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective emergency management
- Oversee training programs for emergency responders
- Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage emergency supplies and equipment
- Communicate with the public about emergency preparedness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency management or related field
- Proven leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Knowledge of emergency management principles and practices
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
