We need to produce HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID etc as headings; can fold minor metadata into short p or drop it. Must preserve all substantive info. Remove boilerplate etc.
We need to parse the given text and extract sections.
The text:
"a Sign-on Bonus Of $4,668 Is Available For The Successful Applicant Of This Position Paid In 2 Installments Within 12 Months Of Hire $2,334 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2,334 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE. This recruitment is for two (2) Facility Maint Tech – MechTrd – Journey positions (00037775, 00056248). By applying, you will be considered for both positions. This position is in the Life Safety maintenance area of Building Services and must become familiar and proficient with all manufactures of emergency generator and transfer switches on campus. This position must be able to perform journey level tasks in a variety of trades including but not limited to the Electrical, Mechanical and Vehicle/Equipment repair trades. It requires in depth analysis of and problem solving on complex building systems and the ability to identify critical and less critical needs in order to make independent decisions during power outages to restore power to critical research and medical buildings throughout campus. This position must become skilled with three phase electrical circuits up to 4000A and 480V, repair and troubleshooting that may include use of basic multi-meters and power monitoring equipment, replacement of electronic control boards utilizing hand tools and soldering irons. This position requires the ability to install and repair any required electrical raceways and conductors needed to support systems maintained by the shop. This position must become competent and authorized to comply with the University's Arc Flash requirements. Requirements on campus have increased tremendously in conjunction with the needs of served departments such as with animal and BSL3 research labs. Design trends have utilized common generators between multiple buildings with complex transfer switches requiring an understanding of load shedding and control systems with programming to manage adding and subtracting loads to properly balance KW load on the generator systems and satisfy building needs which can include mixed office, lab, and animal quarters, etc. This includes insuring critical loads such as fire pumps are maintained without overloading infrastructure, emissions and maintenance needs. This position must become knowledgeable of these requirements and ensure these systems are in compliance. This position will be expected to be willing and able during the service of generators and other equipment to change motor oil, antifreeze, hydraulic fluids, wash and clean equipment and general areas, paint equipment for protection and esthetics, and maintain a clean and organized shop area and service vehicle. This position has emergency response duty for weather events. This position must use a basic working knowledge of electronic principals and use of non-standard tools and specialized test equipment needed to design, install, program, test and troubleshoot complex systems with several interconnected devices. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of complex diesel fuel delivery systems that employ electronic/digital and mechanical controls plus day tank staging. Reworking of overly complex systems to provide more reliable fuel delivery methods is sometimes required. Strong knowledge of plumbing installation methods and hydrodynamics is required. This position is responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of diesel fire pump engines in accordance with NFPA 20 and NFPA 25 and must have working knowledge of these standards. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair small engine equipment including but not limited to, portable generators, pressure washers, blowers, gas operated saws, etc. Basic mechanical understanding of two stroke engines, 4 stroke engines and mechanical pumps is required. This position is responsible for repairs on heavy equipment including but not limited to backhoes and skid steers. A strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics is required. Must possess a valid NC Driver's License or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire date."
We need to decide sections.
We have a sign-on bonus: that's a benefit/pay. Could be under Benefits (sign-on bonus) or Pay. Since it's a bonus, maybe Benefits. Also we could have Pay section if salary not mentioned; we don't have salary. So we should not create Pay unless actual pay stated. So we can omit Pay.
Schedule: not mentioned. So omit.
About the role: we can have a paragraph summarizing the role: "This position is in the Life Safety maintenance area of Building Services..." etc. Could be a few paragraphs.
Responsibilities: list of duties: performing journey level tasks, analyzing complex building systems, making decisions during outages, skilled with three-phase circuits, installing/repairing raceways, complying with Arc Flash, changing fluids, cleaning, painting, emergency response duty, using electronic principals, repair/maintenance of diesel fuel delivery, inspection/testing of diesel fire pump engines per NFPA 20/25, preventive maintenance of small engine equipment, repairs on heavy equipment, hydraulics knowledge, etc.
Requirements: maybe qualifications: must become familiar with emergency generator and transfer switches, must be able to perform journey level tasks, must become skilled with three-phase circuits up to 4000A 480V, must become competent and authorized to comply with Arc Flash, must become knowledgeable of requirements, must be willing and able to change fluids etc, must use basic working knowledge of electronic principals, must have strong knowledge of plumbing installation methods and hydrodynamics, must have working knowledge of NFPA 20/25, basic mechanical understanding of two stroke, 4 stroke engines and mechanical pumps, strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, must possess valid NC Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.
Skills: maybe list of specific skills: electrical troubleshooting, use of multimeters, soldering, programming load shedding, etc.
But we need to avoid duplication. We can combine Requirements and Skills maybe. But we need to follow instruction: Use sections only when posting has real specific content. We can have multiple sections if content distinct.
We need to preserve all substantive info; not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details, but we can group them.
We must not repeat job title. Not include Job ID etc as headings; we can fold minor metadata into short p or drop it. The Job IDs are in parentheses: (00037775, 00056248). That's minor metadata; we can include in a short p maybe under About the role or drop. Probably drop as per instruction: "do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short for section headings. Use
or drop it." So we can include them in a p. We must remove boilerplate: there is none besides maybe the sign-on bonus text is not boilerplate. We must not create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. We have sign-on bonus, which is a benefit. So we can create Benefits section with that info. Also maybe we could include Pay if salary not given; we shouldn't. Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Skills, Benefits. We need to use
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose.
We need to decide what goes in lists vs prose.
We can have About the role as prose (
) describing the position.
Responsibilities as
- each duty.
Requirements as
- each requirement.
Skills as
- each skill.
Benefits as
- each benefit (sign-on bonus details).
We must ensure we don't create empty sections.
Let's extract details.
First, About the role: The position is in the Life Safety maintenance area of Building Services and must become familiar and proficient with all manufactures of emergency generator and transfer switches on campus. Also mention that recruitment is for two positions, applying considered for both. Could include that.
We'll write a paragraph: "This position is in the Life Safety maintenance area of Building Services and requires familiarity with all manufacturers of emergency generators and transfer switches on campus. The recruitment is for two Facility Maintenance Technician – MechTrd – Journey positions (IDs 00037775, 00056248); applying will consider you for both."
That's prose.
Now Responsibilities: list each duty.
