Emergency General Surgery - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Position Details
Join Hartford Hospital’s Emergency General Surgery team, where you can practice at your full scope and participate in caring for the hospital's most critically ill surgical patients. The Advanced Practitioners (APPs) are this team's main clinical drivers of care and work consistently with the most advanced Acute Care Surgeons. This role is a hybrid of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with occasional OR opportunities in the future.

Schedule
Full-time, 3x13 hour shifts. Monday-Friday 6am-7:30pm. No nights.
Premium differentials offered
Home call, one weekend of answering service phone calls per month.

Qualifications
- Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Experience: New graduates welcome to apply! Preferred 2+ years’ experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in a surgical setting
