Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Surgery-General

About the role

The Physician Assistant will join a well-established and collaborative general surgery team in Santa Rosa, CA. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic, operating room, and inpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in the operating room and clinic setting
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a surgeon
• Assist in surgical procedures and manage post-operative care
• Participate in patient education and counseling sessions
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive team environment

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in California
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• At least 1-2 years of experience in general surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Passing scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

Pay

$180,345 - $224,607 per year

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with operating room hours typically from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The weekly schedule will vary and include a mix of clinic, surgical time, and light inpatient rounding, along with occasional weekend coverage.
