Emergency Dept Technician

Join a collaborative Emergency Department team where no two days are the same. You'll care for patients with needs ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to critical, life-threatening emergencies while working alongside experienced clinicians who are committed to delivering remarkable patient care and supporting your professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs and report abnormal findings.
- Monitor patient status and cardiac rhythms, alerting RNs to any acute changes in condition.
- Stock and organize trauma bays and exam rooms with essential medical supplies.
- Perform a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
- Complete a variety of department-specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- 1 year of Nurse Aide experience.
- Experience in basic patient care, phlebotomy, EKG in an emergency or outpatient setting highly desirable.
- Nurse Aide I certification, required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification, required.
- Phlebotomy Certification, required.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age.
- Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age-specific needs.
