Emergency Dept Technician

About the role

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. As an Emergency Room Technician, you will greet and orient patients to the patient care area, perform cardiac monitoring testing and rhythm interpretation, and provide security access to and from the Emergency Department by monitoring cameras and answering entrance phones. You will deliver patient care services and collaborate with other team members to perform additional services as directed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient patients to the patient care area
• Perform cardiac monitoring testing and rhythm interpretation
• Monitor security cameras and answer entrance phones to control Emergency Department access
• Provide patient care services as stated
• Collaborate with team members to perform other services as directed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of arrhythmia recognition course, as assigned
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to lift
• Must be able to attend one week of full-time training
