About the Role

You’ll join a community-based Emergency Department that delivers high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population. Our ED is fast-paced yet collaborative, fostering a close-knit team environment where adaptability, communication, and mutual respect are essential. Care is delivered through a geographic, team-based model, with Emergency Department Technicians working as integral members of small care teams. ED Technicians collaborate closely with nurses, attending physicians, and other clinical staff to support patient care activities, assist with procedures, and help ensure efficient workflow and continuity of care throughout the department. Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and completes responsibilities delegated by nurses and physicians.
• Maintains a calm and professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
• Performs a variety of duties including EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, and patient activities of daily living.
• Assists providers in the delivery of care and assists patients who have physical and psychological limitations; transports patients and specimens.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection and point-of-service lab testing according to protocol and quality control standards. Communicates results to the appropriate staff and documents in the medical record.
• Maintains supply inventory needed to maintain daily operations. Stocks supplies, linen, or office goods.
• Ensures used equipment is cleaned by the appropriate process and is ready for the next patient.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support certification with American Heart Association
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• EMT, Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant training
• Nursing student with completion of one clinical rotation or other direct patient care experience
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred

Schedule

• Rotating shifts available
• Weekend availability required
• Minimum per diem requirement: 16 hours/month

Pay

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay: $19.50 - $26.24. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
