Emergency Department Technician - Emergency Dept

About the role

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, maintains awareness of patient population needs and scheduling requirements, provides ongoing communication with nursing staff for assigned patients, and prioritizes patient care in conjunction with other team members. Assists the team in meeting patient and family goals. An essential member of the health care team responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care. This individual will be trained to provide basic first aid, venipuncture, point of care testing, and splinting.

• Perform basic first aid, venipuncture, point of care testing, and splinting

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Pennsylvania EMT certification required
• AHA BLS certification required prior to orientation completion
