Emergency Department Technician
About the role
Performs functions as delegated by the RN according to the Nurse Practice Act. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Support RNs in delivering patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the healthcare team.
- Assist in meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an EMT-B program required.
- IV Therapy Certification required (not required for positions located in Utah).
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- EKG Certification preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED, or patient care) preferred.
Physical Requirements
Medium Work – exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.

Pay
$17.00 - $23.82 per hour.
