Emergency Department Tech - Nights

Role Overview: The Emergency Department (ED) Tech Level I is a multi-skilled caregiver working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key Responsibilities: Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care including vital signs, 12-lead EKG, blood sugar testing, superficial wound care, oral suctioning, splint application, and patient education on crutch ambulation. Perform procedures using aseptic techniques such as sterile tray preparation, dressing changes, and phlebotomy. Transport patients, supplies, equipment, and medications while ensuring the care area is stocked. Monitor patients in restraint/seclusion and observe cardiac rhythms, recognizing arrhythmias. Manage telesitter carts, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and respond to escalations. Ensure patient safety through proper transport and environmental checks. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, effective communication skills, proficiency with computers, and ability to obtain vital signs manually. Demonstrates teamwork and initiative. Additional Duties: Maintain equipment, monitor patients, ensure compliance with policies, and perform other duties as needed to support patient care and safety.
