Emergency Department Tech (EDT) - Emergency Department - PRN - Midshift

Job Summary

Prepare rooms and specialty care areas for patient use
Assists in and accompanies patients in transfer and discharge procedures
Provides patient care
Performs routine treatment procedures
Assist nurses/physicians with complicated treatment procedures

Qualifications

• Education: High school education or equivalent GED required
• Experience: Requires Nationally Registered EMT Basic or completion of one clinical semesters of nursing school, or completion of a Combat Lifesaver or similar course, or equivalent relative ER experience
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  Prefer one or all of the following certifications: EMT Basic/Advanced/Paramedic Certification or Combat/Military medic training or one year of nursing school
• Licensure: Completion of MANDT relational course required within 6 months of hire
  MANDT technical course preferred
